Delivery Driver

Full or Part Time: Full Time

Starting Wage: $23-26/hour

Location: Fife, WA

Basic Position Function

A Delivery Driver is responsible for local deliveries of doors and millwork, as well as general warehouse responsibilities including forklift, receiving, packaging, and shipping pre-hung doors and other building products. Working along side the Production Manager and Shipping Manager to ensure deliveries and other tasks are performed at a high quality level and in a timely manner.

Duties And Responsibilities

Contributes to ensuring a safe environment as #1 priority

• Work in a safe manner to avoid injuring yourself or others

• Be responsible for keeping equipment in good working order to avoid safety risks

• Report malfunctioning equipment to Shipping and/or Production Manager and

Safety Personnel

• Remain up to date on current safety policies and procedures.

• Report any accidents, illnesses, or potential incidents to Safety Personnel and/or

Human Resources.

• Inspects vehicles daily to ensure safe operating conditions

• May perform emergency roadside repairs if necessary

• Keep all vehicles clean and presentable

• Safely operate forklifts when required to aid in the loading and unloading of

vehicles.

Warehouse:

• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized working environment.

• Produce high quality products for customers

• Communicate effectively on condition of product and inventory levels

• Assist in the assembly of pre-hung doors and other shop products

Administrative:

• Attend required meetings (safety, warehouse, sales, etc.)

• Verifying and reporting quantities

• Accurately document log book, vehicle conditions, mileage reports, and other

documents required by Titan Door to stay compliant with the DOT regulations

• Keep Driver’s license current and free of violations.

• Immediately notify management of all incidents, accidents, and/or conditions that

may impact driver eligibility.

• Maintaining necessary paperwork required for delivery

• Participate in inventory counts

• All other assignments as requested by management

Receiving and Delivery:

• Assist in unloading inbound vendor trucks promptly and without causing damage

to material or facility.

• Secure, protect, and transfer materials in a timely and professional manner.

• Properly strap down and secure the load. In inclement weather use a tarp is

applicable to prevent damage to product.

• Ensure delivered material is undamaged, correctly counted, and stock at site

accordingly.

• Bring all damaged inventory to the attention of Management

• Perform customer pick-ups of unwanted/unneeded merchandise when authorized

• Load trucks in a fashion that will allow for easy and safe unloading at destination.

• Maintain communication with dispatchers

• Become familiar with site environments to be efficient at making deliveries.

• Pull and package for shipments going via UPS, FedEx, and other common

carriers.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Skill in safely operating designated forklifts and other vehicles

and maintenance instructions, etc.

• Observe and abide by all company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

• Clean driving record
